AwardInArchitettura 2020 Lombardia

A few days ago, Sice Previt received a very important award – In/Architettura 2020 – for having contributed to the redevelopment of a former industrial space, where the BASE Cultural Centre is located.

The project involves a portion of the former Ansaldo building, a historic industrial complex located along Via Tortona in Milan, and is part of the urban regeneration of the area desired by the City of Milan.

Base Milano today is an archipelago of different functions, a sort of Milanese ‘Fun Palace’, initially located on the outskirts of the city, now totally surrounded by buildings.

At a difficult time like the one we are currently experiencing, receiving this award from the National Institute of Architecture and ANCE, in collaboration with Archilovers, is a great help to cast a glance beyond the crisis, to valorise the great work of Sice Previt and in general the occasions where quality architecture is realised in our country, offering a cultural contribution to the relaunch of the entire construction sector.

For more information on the project, read the article dedicated to this edition of the award in the online magazine Archiportale.
