In 2024, for the first time, the Fuorisalone will travel ‘out of town’ to Segrate, to the heart of the Sice Previt factory, which for Design Week will host the #FactoryReflections exhibition: an original and surprising installation by the Giò Forma studio and Sice Previt itself, where design and architecture meet the industrial environment.
In addition to the new creations from the furniture line designed and produced in SP_LAB, Sice Previt’s in-house design studio, visitors to ‘Factory Reflections’ were able to get a close-up look at the machines used to process marble and glass, as well as some of the most cutting-edge technologies used in the production departments – such as the Cobot, a robotic arm that works alongside human workers. The tour ends on the factory roof, where an emblematic Sice Previt production stands, highly representative of its commitment to spreading architectural culture: the first prototype ever built of the Maison Au Bord de l’Eau, a revolutionary 1934 project by Charlotte Perriand, the French pioneer of modernism.
