One of the most important jobs we have handled in the retail construction sector is certainly the construction of the Apple Store in Milan: located in Piazza Liberty, it is the first flagship store of the brand in Italy.
Built according to a new concept that focuses on knowledge of the Apple universe and aims to create a space that is also of public use, its construction required us to carry out real remodelling work on the square. The store is in fact underground and accessible via a sort of stepped amphitheatre, open to all as a public square: a place to sit and rest.
As general contractor for the site, we coordinated and carried out the construction. In addition, we faced the real technical challenge of building the staircase inside the shop.
For more on this particular topic, we refer you to Michela Rovelli’s article ‘Apple Piazza Liberty, the Italian companies that built the new Milan store’. For an overview of the construction of the store and the concept from which it originated, however, we recommend the other articles below.
We are proud to point out that once again Sice has contributed to the construction of an iconic location in the city of Milan.
