Fashion parades at the cinema

In 2005, Stefano and Dolce Gabbana purchased a historic space in the city of Milan, the monumental Metropol cinema in Viale Piave – built in the 1940s but now little frequented given the dominant phenomenon of multiplexes – and restored it, renovating the spaces with a touch of their favourite style, baroque and exuberant.

The huge arches of the inner hall and the large black glass balcony, as well as the kinetic glass blade façade, are enhanced by a new function: the former projection room becomes a venue for another kind of show, that of the fashion shows of the Dolce & Gabbana and D&G brands.
