In 2008, we were involved in the furnishing of the Paris flagship of the Givenchy fashion house, in particular to produce the very special burnt wood finish sought by the customer’s designer.
The experience of this order was in a way the prodromes of the activity of our R&D department, because producing the finish required months of experimentation with different woods and burning techniques, studied by our most experienced carpenters.
Investing in this project was a far from trivial gamble, but it paid off in the end. The burnt oak we developed has become an iconic detail in Givenchy shop fixtures around the world, giving us a certain visibility in the international luxury retail world as a company capable of producing high quality experimental finishes.
The attached article, dedicated to the surprising design of the Givenchy flagship store in Paris, explicitly mentions us as the creators of this surprising finish.
